আজি গুৱাহাটীৰ চাংসাৰিত মাননীয় কেন্দ্ৰীয় উপভোক্তা পৰিক্ৰমা, খাদ্য আৰু ৰাজহুৱা বিতৰণ বিভাগৰ ৰাজ্যিক মন্ত্ৰী শ্ৰীযুত অশ্বিনী কুমাৰ চৌবে ডাঙৰীয়াই ৫০,০০০ মেট্ৰিক টন আধুনিক ৰেল সংযুক্ত শস্যৰ গুদামটোৰ শুভাৰম্ভ কৰে ৷ উল্লেখ্য যে, ৰাজ্যৰ কৃষক সকলৰ পৰা নূন্যতম সমৰ্থিত মূল্যত (MSP) প্ৰদানেৰে খাদ্য শস্য ক্ৰয় কৰি নষ্ট নোহোৱাকৈ এই অত্যাধুনিক গুদামত সংৰক্ষণ কৰা হ’ব ৷ এই উদ্যোগটোৱে ৰাজ্যৰ বিকাশৰ গতি ত্বৰান্বিত কৰিব ৷
যিহেতু, চাংসাৰি হৈছে ভাৰতীয় খাদ্য নিগমৰ বাবে এক কৌশলগত অৱস্থান ৷ উত্তৰ-পূৰ্বাঞ্চলৰ ৰাজ্য সমূহৰ বাবে চাংসাৰিয়ে এক প্ৰৱেশদ্বাৰ হিচাবে কাম কৰে ৷ সেয়েহে, এই গুদামটোৱে আগন্তুক দিনত অসমৰ পৰা দেশৰ বিভিন্ন ৰাজ্যলৈ খাদ্য শস্য ৰপ্তানি কৰাৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত বিশেষ ভূমিকা গ্ৰহণ কৰিব ৷ আজিৰ এই শুভাৰম্ভ অনুষ্ঠানত মোৰ সৈতে সাংসদ কুইন ওজাকে প্ৰমুখ্য কৰি বিভাগৰ উচ্চ পদস্থ বিষয়া সকল উপস্থিত থাকে ৷
Inauguration of 50,000 MT modern food grain Silo at Changsari
Food security for all is our priority. Additionally, we need to ensure that the post-procurement preservation of food grains is done in a scientific way to keep the quality and nutrition intact. I am glad to state that today the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution; and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change inaugurated a rail-linked modern storage Silo in Changsari which has the capacity to store 50,000 MT of food grains. Changsari is the gateway to Northeast when it comes to its strategic location.
The existing conventional depot and railway siding are additional advantages. The current project was tendered on Design Build Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis on FCI’s own land and occupies substantially lesser land and has been developed on an area of 5.19 acres.
The facility also includes a truck dispatch silo of 100 MT, 2 bagging silo of 60 MT, handling and conveying system of 150 TPH. The total stock of wheat in the Silo as of 19th November, 2021 is 11,476 MT. With additional benefits of vehicle weighment, food intake, testing, food grain cleaning, Silo aeration and fumigation systems, I believe this project will lead-off a seamless system of handling, storage and transportation of food grains, and an advanced period of food security in Assam.
