I am humbled to be appointed as the Minister of Panchayat & Rural Development, Public Health Engineering, Food & Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Govt of Assam, in the Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma led-Cabinet. The BJP-led state government, for the past few years, has accomplished a major milestone under the leadership of Shri. Narendra Modi.
I am determined to carry forward our mission and elevate our state to a higher scale of development. This new responsibility has given me the opportunity to connect to people on a deeper level and resolve issues from a new dimension. I assure to work wholeheartedly and overcome all the challenges under the dynamic leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri. Narendra Modi Ji and Hon'ble CM, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji.

रणजीत कुमार दास
R anjeet Kumar Dass is a politician from the Indian state of Assam. He became a member of the BJP in 1992 and was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly from Sorbhog in Barpeta district in 2011. He was the party's deputy leader in the House from 2011 to 2016.
He was re-elected from the Sorbhog constituency in 2016 assembly polls and was elected as the Speaker of the House in June 2016. He resigned from the Speaker's post on being elected as the President of BJP Assam Pradesh on 30th January 2017. Ranjeet Kumar Das has been re-elected to the post for a second consecutive term on 18th of January 2019 and is presently serving the party.
